Amber Entertainment has joined de Passe-Jones as a producing partner on several film projects now in development.  Created in 2009 by New Line Cinema veterans Ileen Maisel, Mark Ordesky and Jane Fleming, alongside renowned documentary and television producer Lawrence Elman, Amber Entertainment is a new media entertainment company that is forging new models for bringing filmed entertainment to audiences worldwide. The company combines the acquisition of diverse intellectual property rights and their conversion into feature films, television, documentaries, interactive entertainment, publishing, direct-to-consumer platforms and consumer products.

The production team is in the process of seeking a writer, or writer/director, to bring to the project. de Passe-Jones and Amber will be jointly financing 50% of the development and production thought to be in the $25 million dollar range.

The original movie received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song, “DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU’RE GOING TO” (Theme from Mahogany). Diana Ross performed the song at the Academy Awards. Her recording was a number one hit around the world.

Story centers on Tracy, a Chicago native struggling to make it as a high fashion designer while working a go nowhere job. She has a great guy in her life, Brian, a community activist, who does not see her career as relevant nor possible. She grabs the opportunity to go to Europe as a model, choosing career over love, in the hopes that being in the world of high fashion, will bring her closer to her dream. Tracy gets tangled in some tricky personal relationships and finally comes to the conclusion that “Success is nothing without someone you love to share it with.”

David Ellis’ last film, Final Destination 4 in 3D went on to become a worldwide blockbuster and one of the first of the new generation of 3D films using the Pace/Cameron Fusion camera system used in Avatar.

Humpty Dumpty is the first film from new sci-fi scribe Billy Majestic.

“Billy Majestic is one of the most original, imaginative voices I have come across in some time. The universe he has created is vast, and is populated with the stuff of many exciting movies for years to come,” said Mark Ordesky.

“Billy Majestic’s screenplay is totally unique and the story is fiercely original”, said Suzanne de Passe.

Mark Ordesky served as Executive Producer of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.  Suzanne de Passe and Madison Jones are also producing the film on the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. with Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks.

Humpty Dumpty first gained notoriety on the internet when the announcement was made at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Since that time, anticipation for the film has gone viral, appearing on hundreds of fan sites around the world.

The story involves two back-wood hicks, The Brakk Brothers, who capture an alien female scientist collecting plant samples in the swamp behind their ramshackled house. They keep her captive in a room under the house and ultimately abuse her. After months of captivity, she escapes into the swamp. Before she expires, she gives birth to a half human-half alien monstrosity who exacts terrifying revenge on the Brakk Brothers for what they did to his mother.
